Leviticus 26:17
And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you. -Leviticus 26:17
INTRODUCTION
Prophet Moses was given the Israelites instructions of what God plans to do to them when they failed to follow him… and in this verse it says those who hate them shall reign over them. In other words it means those who are their enemies would be their leaders and heads….
I thought of this and said when one's enemies become one's head, leader, what would happen?
The head in this instance doesn't mean Kings, Queens alone but it includes President, husband, Class Rep., Union Leaders etc.
What are those things one shall see when they are leading some of the things that would be seen are highlighted beneath
1) They won't want the person's progress,
2) They will be annoyed when one makes progress/advancement especially the ones made outside them,
3) Stern laws would be on place (Exodus 5:7)
4) Justify hard/Stern laws instituted,
5) Send the person to the den of lion (death) e.g David and Uriah (2 Sam. 11:14 ff)
6) Compare you with others especially your peers who have made it (while you are still struggling) to nail your ass to the wall,
7) Punish the person for any slight error,
8) Hardly accept your "I am sorry",
9) Deceptively live/work/interact/play with you (Exodus 1:10)
10) Take revenge on you,
11) Steal your properties or possessions because he doesn't want you to rise,
12) Assign task masters (increase taxes Exodus 1:11)
13) Always saddened by what you do (Hamman and Mordecai (Esth. 3:5))
14) Always thinking of how to annihilate you and yours,
15) Shut ears, eyes against your pleas,
16) They support each other and preach or teach to curry favour to themselves,
17) They belittle your sufferings
18) Hard labour (Exodus 1:13-14),
19) Imprison you, your glory etc (Genesis 39)
20) Reproach you (Nehemiah 4:3 ff)
21) Send hired assassin after you (King Saul and David)
22) Full of anger against you (Est. 3:5)
23) Etc
Note:
It is very dangerous for one to live with and stay under one's enemies….
