Let Them Know

ÒWE YORÙBÁ (YORÙBÁ PROVERB)

Bi ọmọ ẹni bá dára káwí a kò ní fi se aya

TRANSLATION

It is good to let people know that one has a beautiful daughter because one would not marry her

APPLICATION

Some for some reasons: the hatred, dispute etc. between them and somebody else, they will not speak well of the person before others, and most importantly, they will not talk about their attributes, what they can do, how they can positively influence something and that is not good enough. This proverb can be used to reprove someone who is hiding things that people should know about someone because of rancor between them. It can also be used by someone to say, I have nothing to hide about a person, what he/she can do, I will let you know so that you will decide whether or not you want the person.

A beautiful Yoruba Lady

Good attributes of people cannot be hidden for long, either or not you tell people, it will come out with time, why not tell them to be a part of the success story?
