INTRODUCTION When someone does something that is bad or may be I should say something that we do not like, which ordinarily may not be something that is bad, may be the person is following the lay down rules of his or her establishment, we tend to quickly talk about that thing, report it to friends and enemies as well as share the same on the social media, since the world is now changing towards that. On the other hand, when this reported same person did something good, something we least expect, though good, we tend to be quiet about it, not wanting to make mention of it. This I have found out to be part of human nature and I think it is bad nature that we need to correct and or change.
Based on the above do I want to write briefly on what I experienced last December, 23rd, 2018.
MTN SUBSCRIBER I, as well as many others in Nigeria are subscribers to all the major network providers in the country, not that we love to, but because of the consistently inconsistency in their functioning. Sometimes, we would want to send urgent messages or even make urgent calls and it would just be then that their malfunctioning would start. Thus to avoid being cornered, many of us have all the lines and can shift to any of the others in case our primary line fumbles.
This was the reason why I started to use MTN to browse because I was abinitio using Airtel which was my primary line, but when she starts her malfunctioning, and I couldn't wait for her, I shift my base to using MTN to browse.
DEFINITION Consistency is defined as a steadfast adherence to the same principles, course, form etc. Since my return to Ilorin, I have been using my MTN for major browsing, and it has been fairly okay for me. Even when people suggested that I use others, I feel it would be a share waste of the resources that is not there, thus I maintain its use.
RECOLLECTION I remember that when I first change level of browsing, due to registering to a blog site and I discovered that except I change the browsing level, I won't make appreciable progress on those sites, I was given a bonus by MTN, the bonus was to be used by "4G" browsers, but I did not have that. That bonus I could not make use of till it lapsed.
Since it was not the bonus that makes me start using it, well I set that into my subconsciousness, considering it as something that has not happened, a wishful thought on my part.
CONTINUATION I continued to subscribe, people say there is better means of subscription that is cheaper. Some friends come to me with their advert. I am the type who loves supporting friends' businesses, but on close perusal, I said to myself, this won't work for me. I therefore did not partronize them on buying Data transfers from them. So i started using the MTN data channel, *131# that we all know.
REWARD TIME I thought I would be able to use the Data I bought till early January 2019, but I could not, as I have to buy another Data in December 23rd, 2018. After buying the Data, I received the notification that I have been credited with a bonus of #5,000:00 (five thousand naira) worth of Data. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the notification, I thought it would be another fluke like the first one given, but lo and behold it was not. This surprised me greatly.
Then I said to myself, this is good, I have been rewarded for my consistency.
This happened to me and I feel like sharing it to let you know that: 1. Consistency has reward, though it may take a while,
2. Do not lose hope on what you are doing,
3. May be you are on the list to being rewarded by MTN or any network provider that you are regularly using,
4. It is not the gambling messages we oftentimes receive,
5. Some other social media could do something like that to ginger some of their subscribers up.
