She Shot Herself
Some decades back a man living in Ìlú-Pupa was betrothed to a virgin lady. This man married this lady, known as Gèlè. Fìlà and Gèlè were happily living together but it seems as if the man was unable to cater for the woman as he hoped to. This therefore pushed Fila to start looking for alternative means of taking care of his family comprising of Gèlè, the wife of his Youth and his two children. Unfortunately, all other attempts made by this man at changing his fortune met a brick wall.
He was on this when he was contacted by a friend that a worker is urgently needed at a Transportation firm. The transportation firm was a standard one in the entire sub-region called Pamilerin Transportation Agency (PTA). After deliberations with his wife on this presenting opportunity, Fila joined PTA. On joining this firm, he was assigned to trailer section. He started travelling with the drivers to different parts of the region.
After a short while, he started to learn how to drive, soon enough he knows how to handle the wheels. He applied to the management to be one of the drivers. He was invited for the screening. PTA managements screened him, and he passed the screening, so a vehicle was released to him.
While managing this vehicle, he got another wife at Àfilọ town, called Sleepa. Afilọ town was a new settlement where heavy truck drivers used to park their vehicles while travelling. Soon enough this new wife took in just as his first wife in Ilu-Pupa. The interval of their putting to bed was three days difference. Both wives gave birth to baby girls.
The first wife's child being the youngest was close to her mother. Her mother, Gèle, on knowing that her hubby has another woman started patronizing the herbalists’ houses because she wanted everything that belongs to her hubby to be hers'. While going to these places, she will go there with her daughter, Dùdu.
The younger wife in Afilọ, Sleepa, because of the companies of friends she had been exposed to, she too could not do without sleeping with a man daily, as such she started having illicit affairs with other men whenever her hubby was not around in Afilọ. The behavior of this woman was not hidden to her daughter, Fihanmi.
As time passed by, both children became teenagers and at this time they had started to imitate their mothers. Dudu became a staunch believer is charms, while Fihanmi had several men friends.
Dudu
Dudu was unable to continue her education because when she ought to be studying, she would not, because she would rely on the charms that would be given her for success, retentive memory charms. When she discovered that she could not continue with her education, she got hooked to a man and later ran off with this man when she noticed that her parents were not in support of her getting married to the man. She had four children for the man.
However, after 20 years, she left the man claiming so many things and demanding that if he wants to be her head, the man should come and pay her dowry.
Fihanmi
Fihanmi on her part, because of her early exposure to sex, got romantically involved with a man because she did not want her parents influence on her love life, she left with that man, gave birth to 3 children.
She though had been withstanding the suffering she was passing through in the man’s house, for years, several lies that the man used to lie to her, paying several debts incurred by the man at the alcohol drinking joints, responsible for feeding the entire family, paying for their house rents. Because of all these that she was facing her business packed up and she started incurring debts, creditors started confiscating her properties until she had nothing again.
All these was too much for her later thus, she could not withstand the suffering she was passing through there because it was because of the heightened suffering that she lost two of her children to the cold hands of death in the man's house. When she discovered that she had lost everything that keeps her there she left the man.
Months after she left the man’s house, she got married to another man. However, she couldn’t leave her only child behind with the father and she couldn’t take her to her mother. The new man she got married did not want that child to live with them this resulted in fighting between them which made the man to send her out of his house.
Fihanmi moved out of the man’s house to another man's house and at this new husband’s house she took in and put to bed there. After putting to bed in the man’s house the man took ill and died within hours.
After she finished observed the cultural days of mourning her new husband, she got married to another man, but for this man she had no issue. After about 7 years of their living together without a child this man sent Fihanmi out of his house.
A New Being
Fihanmi during the time of her mourning received some visitors who introduced her to Jesus Christ. She saw how miserable she has been living and wallowing in sin all these years and she broke down in tears after listening to those people’s preaching and decided to give her life to Jesus Christ.
After giving her life to Jesus Christ, she became dedicated in the things of the Lord and one of their leaders in the fellowship she was attending introduced her to a man, brother Kizin, whose wife has divorced him and has been looking for another woman to be married to for years but without getting anyone.
Brother Kizin was desperately in need of a woman to be married to because he was one of the leaders in the fellowship he was attending and the criteria for the man to proceed to the next stage of leadership in the ministry is marriage, anyone who is not married will not be allowed to occupy that position. Apart from that, the woman he was married to before had for him 4 children, two boys and two girls, taken care of these children was too much on him and he needed someone to help him take care of those children.
Brother Kizin, has tried all he could to see that he gets married to another woman, he cannot be married to just any lady now because of his new found faith, he got married to the woman who divorced him when he was not saved and when the woman discovered that she can possibly not continue to live with him she had to leave him.
He does not need just anyone, but he needs someone who is a believer, someone of the same faith as he is. All attempts at talking to ladies within his confines failed as they do not want to be married to someone who is married before. The widows he sees around their behavior he did not like. This was his predicament until someone introduced him to Fihanmi. When Fihanmi and brother Kizin met, their love was on the sight love.
Brother Kizin loved Fihanmi without reservations and within weeks they got married.
Daughters Brought Together
Since the time that Fihanmi has given her life to Jesus Christ, she has been visiting her parents. Her father decided to bring her and her half-sister together. He arranged for how they would come together, and they were brought together. Fihanmi was glad knowing her sister, she has been hearing of her for long but because she had not been saved, she has despised the idea of knowing her, but when she became saved, she desired to know her more than anything. Thus, the day her father brought them together was a memorable day in the family. Ever since the time that Fihanmi and Dudu had been brought together, they had been close since then.
Dog Returns to its Vomit
After about 8 years that Fihanmi has been living with her hubby, Dudu called her to please assist her in getting someone to marry. Fihanmi, an extrovert, a sanguine, worked on this and got someone for Dudu. The person gotten for her was Mr. Ikorita.
Dudu and Mr. Ikorita have been having it nice together until Dudu decided to open the can of worms about Fihanmi's past life to her espoused lover. It was apparent that Mr. Ikorita did not know something like this about Fihanmi.
After Dudu told her spouse about Fihanmi's past, Mr. Ikorita also divulged this to Fihanmi and Fihanmi was very furious that such could be uttered by her half-sister to the person she has introduced her to. What does she want to achieve by this? She asked herself as the man was talking with her. After Mr. Ikorita finished what he was telling her, Fihanmi also told him that she has been seeking for means of calling him to order about his relationship with Dudu because she has just received a word from people who are living near Dudu's house that she has been patronizing the herbalists’ houses in the recent time. She told me that she has left such acts but from the gathered information about her now, it seems as if her dog has returned to her vomit.
Ikorita who has been falling in Love with Dudu did not want to believe her, but Fihanmi made him believe telling him that if he goes ahead to marry Dudu and terrible things happen to him in future, he should not call her.
After deliberations with friends, Ikorita had to leave Dudu. Dudu's plea fell on Ikorita's infected ears because he did not repent from what he had said... He left Dudu....
