The Day I Missed My Late Mother

I MISSED MY LATE MUMMY TODAY...

Remembering some of the things you have said to me while you were in flesh and blood today, I cannot but say you are a wonderful mother, Mum like no other....

Thank you Mum for showing me what trust means, what loyalty means, what respect means, what love means.

Many will promise you love, but as time goes on it will start wobbling and their supposed love for you will be dragging its feet on the floor making it extremely difficult (if not near impossible) to be pulled along.

The rareness of your love, your tenderness and care is overwhelming.

It's unfortunate that you ain't around to shower on me your Love like before but I am grateful for having you in my life for decades, for during those periods you have impacted and imprinted in my heart and daily activities what being a good person means.

No one is perfect, however you have stated that we just need to do our best in ensuring that our daily activities are enveloped in sincerity, singleness of purpose, dedication to whatever we are doing.

Though the journey may not be as fast as we have hoped or dreamt of but it's certain we shall get there.

Being late does not mean total denial you have emphasized, being late doesn't mean it's unachievable you have reiterated.

This has been my anchor, motivation, and stimulant.

Yorùbás believe that those dead are somewhere looking at us on earth, especially mothers/parents are looking at their children on earth (though Bible doesn't so much support that), whether or nay this is true Ùye Sẹ́gun as your husband and my daddy used to call you, know that I will by God's unfailing Grace keep your legacies and act normal at all times irrespective of what happens.

Missed you like never today....

Continue to rest Deaconess (Itinerant lady Evangelist) till we meet at His (Jesus Christ) feet.
