There is this cousin of mine who used to come to me to ask for assistance from me, whenever she comes to me, things are usually tight for me then, she used to come when I had nothing one me.
However, she will let me know I am her last hope then for there is nothing her children would eat at home.
The last money one me or in my account I will transfer to her to manage with.
The truth is I wasn't ever thinking she can be of assistance to me, not in the next couple of years because of her situation.
We weren't regularly seeing each other nor communicating when I left for Èkìtì State. During this period God has started to visit her and when we shall see she came to tell me of her son's scholarship to America…. Weeks after she told me of the goodness of God on her children.
Now, whenever we see, she is the one who will say, "Segun, take this token…."
Thinking of this yesterday I said to myself God is wonderful, someone I should be given has started giving me….
Never think your story cannot be changed… trust me the person you are assisting today albeit with the last money on you, may be the person who will be there for you tomorrow.
It's not everyone you assist that would be ingrate, there would be one or two among them who will be there for you.
Don't grudgingly give the people, yes, it may be difficult, you may not have anything to fall back on after giving him/her, don't say his/her demands are too much for like a person says, "a person who has money would not ask for assistance, it's because he lacks it at that moment and considers you better". If you don't have, politely tell him, a sensible person would understand with you and if you have given him for you don't know what tomorrow holds….
I hope this short story helps someone… (The End)
